Top Tip Scrutineer Slip
Top Tip Scrutineer Slip

After scrutineering, you will receive a signed slip that will be inspected at Assembly to ensure that your car has been checked and safe to be on track. At our first race at Brands Hatch, this was a sticker that was easily placed on the car but at Rockingham we were presented with a non-sticky card. Using the obligatory ‘Gaffer Tape’ to stick around the edge, a few had found that in the rain the ink was running and duplicate slips were needed.

In this top tip, my recommendation is to place the back-side of the scrutinner slip to the sticky side of the Gaffer Tape and then stick this to the inside of your windscreen. Not only will the slip not blow away but it will remain dry in wet weather as it is sealed to the inside of the windscreen.
