As you will know, your Academy car needs to be road legal and hence you need to have the handbrake in situ. However I am told this has caused problems for others in the past where the arm restraints when worn in Qualification and Racing can get caught under the handle, which is not good. Depending on how your handle is adjusted, this can be higher or lower compared to others which dictates this highly recommended safety top tip and that is, to tape down the handbrake handle. Indeed, I do not know but this maybe a safety requirement of the series?

One may wonder how to keep the car stationary if on an incline? That’s simple to answer too in that you leave the car in gear when stopped and parked as especially after being on track, you should never apply the handbrake anyway for chance of warping the brake disks.
